    FIREFOX FEATURES FOR CRAIGS LIST

    Tabbed Browsing! This feature alone makes Firefox my top choice. Say you are looking to rent an apartment and do a search on Craigslist. Your Firefox browser window will look like any other browser window, maybe something like the one below. Now, say you'd like to look at the three listings marked by orange arrows(scroll down to view.)

    Hold down the <ctrl> key down and left-click with your mouse on each of the three listings above.  What this does, unlike other browsers, is open new tabs so that you can switch between and compare listings all in the same browser window! The first tab is the Craigslist results page as shown in the screenshot above. If we click on the third tab, as shown on the screenshot below, you can view that specific listing in the browser window. Notice that each of the other listings we wanted to look at, each have their own tab. You can go back and forth between tabs to compare information.  You can open up more tabs to see other listings, or close the ones you don't need. The possibilities are endless! You can also do this to view several websites in the same browser window(see feature #1).

    Bookmarks! Lets say none of the apartments you searched for were available. Would you like to be able to see new listing headlines as they are added without having to go to the Craigslist website, and click on  several links to get the right page? It can be done with Live Bookmarks! This allows you to view the 'headlines' of the latest postings that are updated automatically from the website, without having to visit that site!  Simply click on the live bookmark that you've set up, and you'll see a drop-down list of all the latest postings. You can then click on any post that interests you to see more details. From news to entertainment, there is no limit to the live  feeds available online.  But don't take our word for it.
